Australian Antarctic Arts Fellowship

Well, it’s official. I’m off to Antarctica in nine days time on the Aurora Australis, the big red icebreaker that will be familiar to anyone from Hobart. I’m doing a six week round trip to Davis Station as part of the research for my novel about Ingrid Christensen, the first woman to reach Antarctica.

Exciting and scary. We’re talking two weeks crossing the roughest sea in the world. Industrial level seasickness. And the adventure of a lifetime.

More soon!
